We are tentatively planning 24 gatherings in 2024, covering all relevant topics. However, the BeAr committee will only apply for 10 CPD points from 10 selected sharing sessions to LAM. Therefore, we strongly encourage all participants to attend all gathering sessions to avoid missing out on CPD points.
A hearty breakfast will be provided!

Why It Is a Must To Join Sharing Program?
Joining the Sharing Program is essential for several reasons, especially for candidates preparing for the LAM Part III Exam. Here’s why it’s a must:
- Understanding Knowledge Gaps: The program helps candidates identify which of the four categories they fall into regarding their knowledge of architectural practices. For those in the third category—knowing what they don’t know—this program is crucial for bridging that gap.
- Equipping with Essential Knowledge: The program focuses on the standard architectural practices in Malaysia, ensuring participants are well-prepared for the exam. This foundational knowledge is vital for success in the field.
- Experience Sharing: Led by professional architects, the program encourages sharing real-world experiences, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Participants benefit not only from expert insights but also from the diverse perspectives of their peers.
- Commitment to Learning: While the program covers the exam syllabus, passing is ultimately determined by the candidate’s dedication and effort. This emphasizes the importance of personal commitment in the learning process.
- Fostering a Sharing Culture: BeAr promotes the value of “Sharing is Caring.” By participating, candidates contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing that enhances the collective understanding and growth of all members.
- Networking Opportunities: Engaging with peers and professionals creates networking opportunities that can benefit participants throughout their careers.
In summary, the Sharing Program is not just about passing an exam; it’s about cultivating a deeper understanding of architectural practices, fostering collaboration, and nurturing a culture of sharing that benefits everyone involved.

– Currently sharing sessions is scheduled to be held at the Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor. The location is convenience and there’s ample parking available.
– Any Changes to the venue of the program will be announced from time to time in BeAr website www.bear.org.my & via our Facebook (Bear Forum Community) should there be any changes.
How the Sharing Program is conducted?
The Sharing Program is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants interested in architectural practice. Here’s a summary of how it operates:
- Group Formation: Participants will form groups of 8-10 members, working together until the program concludes in August 2025.
- Teaching Style: The program adopts a teaching-sharing style, where participants aim to gain knowledge and experience through assignments and discussions.
- Expert Involvement: 2-3 professional architects will lead each session based on their expertise, providing insights on assigned topics. Participants are encouraged to engage actively by asking questions and sharing their own experiences.
- Assignments: Each group will receive an assignment a week in advance, related to the following week’s topic. This is intended to prepare participants for deeper understanding during the sharing sessions.
- Sharing Sessions: During these sessions, 3-4 groups will be randomly selected to present on the topic, with the rest of the participants encouraged to ask questions and share insights.
- Mock Oral Exam: BeAr will offer a mock oral examination for participants looking to familiarize themselves with the format before the actual LAM exam, assessing their readiness.
- Mock Written Exam: Similarly, a mock written exam will be conducted to help candidates prepare for the LAM Part III exam, allowing them to identify areas for improvement.
This structured approach aims to enhance both knowledge and practical readiness among participants as they prepare for their professional examinations.
When?
– The Sharing sessions will be held every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Participants should check the BeAr website or their Facebook page for any updates or changes to the schedule.
