We’re excited to announce the structure of the 2025 beAr program, designed to accommodate a diverse range of participants. Based on the overwhelming participation in 2024, we are maintaining three distinct program categories:
- Lecturing (Beginner Program)
- Target Participants: Graduated architects with little to no knowledge of the LAM Part III exam syllabus.
- Objective: To build fundamentals knowledge in preparation for the 2026 and above for LAM Part III exams.
- Sharing (First-Time Attempt Candidates)
- Target Participants: Graduated architects with intermediate knowledge of the LAM Part III syllabus.
- Requirements: Must have registered with LAM for the September 2025 exam. Already submit logbook on Mac 2024.
- Objective: To prepare candidates for their first attempt at the LAM Part III exam.
- Grooming (Repeater Candidates)
- Target Participants: Graduated architects with advanced knowledge of the LAM Part III syllabus.
- Objective: To support those planning to re-sit the LAM Part III exam in March 2025.

What is Grooming Program?
The Grooming Program is an informal gathering designed to enhance the answering skills of candidates preparing for the LAM Part III Exam. Led by professional architects with extensive experience in the written exam, this program aims to equip participants with essential skills for effective exam performance.
Program Objectives: Participants will learn to:
- Understand and identify key issues in exam questions.
- Extract main points relevant to the topics.
- Assess answer length based on allocated marks.
- Manage time effectively during the exam.
- Structure responses clearly and logically.
- Write sharp and precise answers.
- Engage in practical answering exercises.
- Participate in timed drills to improve efficiency.
- Complete mock written exams for self-evaluation.
Program Details:
- Format: Systematic and interactive gatherings.
- Number of Gatherings: 8 sessions scheduled throughout 2025, concluding in March.
- CPD Points: The BeAr committee will apply for 6 CPD points for attending all sessions. Full attendance is advised to avoid CPD loss.
- Meals: A heavy breakfast will be provided at each gathering.

Where?
– Currently lecturing sessions is scheduled to be held at the Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor. The location is convenience and there’s ample parking available.
– Any Changes to the venue of the program will be announced from time to time in BeAr website www.bear.org.my & via our Facebook (Bear Forum Community) should there be any changes.
How the Grooming Program is conducted?
– The grooming program is limited to small numbers of participant to maintain the quality of the interaction between the professional architects and the candidates in the program. For the time being the number is limited to 30 pax only.
– Since the candidates in the grooming program are expected to have adequate knowledge, the grooming session will ONLY focus on the answering skills.
– 2 or 3 Professional Architects will be assigned based on their expertise to groom your skills in answering the question wisely & timely.
– There are different type of questions that usually being asked in the exam. These different type of question need to be answered differently. This program will groom you on how to answer each of the question AT ITS BEST (since we have not been given the answer scheme by LAM).
– The details of the answering methods will be revealed exclusively in the grooming program.
– Bear will also conduct a mock up written exam to expose the candidates to the real LAM PAM Part III exam. This mock up written exam will also be used to gauge the weaknesses and the readiness of each candidates to sit the LAM PAM Part III (March Exam).
When?
– The Grooming sessions will be held every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Participants should check the BeAr website or their Facebook page for any updates or changes to the schedule.
